Decades of know-how in radiation protection and safety technology. With our radiation protection systems, containers, semi-finished products and radiation protection materials, we ensure maximum safety in nuclear technology, in research facilities and materials testing, in medical technology, in X-ray technology and radiation therapy. We are a supplier of essential components for worldwide basic research in nuclear and neutrino physics, and also design and build radiation protection cabins for synchrotrons, also according to ESRF standards. For medical technology, JL Goslar builds complete room shielding, door and gate systems and laboratory equipment. We also offer a wide range of radiation protection accessories (e.g. safes, lead bricks, lead sheets, lead foils, lead mats, transport containers).
Design & Engineering
Calculations, material selection and CAD-supported designs (Solidworks, Autocad, Inventor) are carried out professionally and expertly in compliance with all regulations and taking into account all stresses caused by mechanical and chemical loads. This also includes statics and earthquake safety calculations. In close coordination with the customer, JL Goslar creates 3D drawings for the project planning and construction phase. Based on this, we use modern CAD/CAM standards such as ALPHACAM in production to ensure consistently optimised processing and efficiency in production. Competent specialists support the customer in designing the optimal solution. After approval by the customer, the project-related production takes place.
Installation
JL Goslar has a team of specially trained fitters who know what is important in sensitive radiation protection. The installation of your radiation protection solution is in good hands with JL Goslar. Installation is carried out worldwide on-site by our own experienced specialist personnel in compliance with all prescribed safety regulations. The use of augmented reality methods is also possible. AR glasses allow our assembly staff to work on a machine while following visual and acoustic instructions from experts.
Door and gate systems, crane systems
Shielding doors and gates (manual or automatic) for radiation protection rooms and radiation protection chambers with
- Programmable logic controller with frequency converter for smooth start-up, acceleration and gentle deceleration in the end position
- Control-programmed, infinitely adjustable opening and closing cycles for optimum treatment frequency, integration of the door system into the operating concept of the complete installation
- Emergency opening system in case of power failure with manual opening device
- Expertise for doors and gates according to ASR A1.7.
- Design of the system components for low-wear operation
- Monitoring of the operating states via remote diagnosis
- Structural design of the supporting structure, taking into account the use-specific loads and required transport options.
